CRIME STOPPERS FLIERS

The links below deal strictly with fliers written and released by MTSU Crime Stoppers, not those released by the MTSU Police Department. Of course, MTSU Crime Stoppers does accept tips on the crimes detailed in the campus police department’s fliers. After all, they tend deal with crimes of a very serious nature the campus community needs to know about and would like to see solved right away, while the Crime Alert fliers written by the campus Crime Stoppers program are usually of a less serious nature.

On occasion a press release is also written and sent to the local media along with a copy of the flier. To read these releases, just click on the link attached to the flier. Each flier will also contain either the letter F or M. This is to let you know whether the crime listed is a Felony or a Misdemeanor. This is important because the maximum reward for tips that lead to an arrest in misdemeanor cases is $300 per case, whereas it is up to $1,000 per case in felonies. We will also try to keep you posted as to which crimes have been solved, cleared, solved through Crime Stoppers, closed, or the statute of limitations has run out – all of which means we will no longer be accepting tips on these particular crimes.
