Music Admissions

An audition is required for admission into the School of Music as a music major, music minor, or to take private lessons as a non-music major. The audition also determines music scholarship awards. Students wanting to audition for Fall 2024 admission to the School of Music should follow the steps below. We do not have any more in-person audition days for Fall 2024 admission, however an audition may be arranged by directly contacting the instructor listed on the audition requirements for your instrument (see Step 4 below). Please contact Angela Satterfield at 615-898-2469 or askmusic@mtsu.edu if you have questions.
