Middle Tennessee State University is proud of all of our staff employees who work to help provide an environment, which supports our students and faculty in their learning and teaching endeavors. Individual employees who make outstanding contributions and demonstrate excellent performance are acknowledged periodically through MTSU Employee Recognition Programs.

The annual awards are given in each of the following categories:

• Administrative
• Administrative Professional
• Classified
• Technical / Service

Each annual recipient receives a monetary and commemorative gift.

Nominate an Employee

Students, faculty and fellow staff are encouraged to nominate full-time employees who have a minimum of one year of service at MTSU and work in an administrative or classified employee group. Nominees should also meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated job skills
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Enthusiasm and initiative in job performance
• Pursuit of professional development
• Projection of a positive image of MTSU

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a full-time employee in a non-faculty (administrative or classified) job classification at MTSU with a minimum of one (1) year of service
• Must be continually employed in a full-time administrative or classified position
• Has not received this award in the last five (5) years
• Must be nominated by a current student, faculty, or staff member. Self-nominations are not considered.
• Nomination forms must be submitted online by December 15^th in order to be considered for the annual awards.  All nominees shall remain in competition for two years from the time the nomination file is complete.
