Tennessee Financial Literacy Month, April 2024

Join us for exciting Financial Literacy Months event sponsored by Jones College of Business Department of Economics and Finance, MT OneStop, and Ascend Federal Credit Union! 

 

Several awards totaling $10,000 will be available to currently enrolled undergraduate students who attend multiple Financial Literacy Month events and submit a 1-2 minute video stating what they learned and how they will apply it in their lives. Deadline to submit is April 21, 2024.

Tennessee Financial Literacy Month

Keynote Speaker

Michael "Bootcamp" Thomas shares his story and outlines a plan that you can use to achieve success. Born into extreme poverty and surrounded by drugs and violence, Thomas learned first-hand the challenges and obstacles that young people can face.

Through determination, hard work, and a commitment to service, he overcame these challenges and found success in his life. Thomas is a United States Army veteran, previously licensed financial advisor, retired battalion chief, and a certified John Maxwell speaker, trainer, coach, and author of the book Financial Literacy Boot Camp for Teens and Young Adults.
