Additional Information: Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded on March 9, 1856, at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Chartered in the Fall of 1969, The Tennessee Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon began its journey on our campus and was part of the original founders of Greek Life at MTSU. Unfortunately, in 2013 the chapter was closed due to university violations and left the MTSU campus. However, in the fall of 2017, a new group of True Gentlemen, with the help of Alumni, began the process of restoring Sigma Alpha Epsilon -Tennessee Beta back into its beloved home of historic Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In the Spring of 2019, less than a year and a half since colonizing, Tennessee Beta was able to gain the designation of a Chapter once again, with a total of twenty-nine founding members. As we surpass fifty-years since our original charter at MTSU, we continue to strive each semester to make an impact on campus. Because, now, more than ever, the world needs True Gentlemen.
