If you have an EMERGENCY, CALL 911. Calls from campus telephones will be answered by an University Police Dispatcher. Please note that calls from cell phones on campus are currently answered by the Murfreesboro City Police Dispatch. If you wish to reach the University Police Department from your cell phone, you should call 615-898-2424.
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Our main business telephone line is 615-898-2424 and is answered by a University Police Dispatcher. Our Dispatchers are available to receive your calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
To report a crime, please call 615-898-2424 and ask to have a Police Officer sent to your location. Alternatively, you can come by our office located in the Public Safety Building at 1412 East Main Street Murfreesboro,TN 37172.
Copies of police reports can be obtained through our website via this link. Fill out the form and upload a copy of your government-issued photo ID. If you are an Authorized Representative of an involved party, a separate form is required. A copy of the report will be emailed to you as a PDF file after it has been approved for release. Please call 615-898-2212 with any questions While the department operates 24 hours a day, reports are typically only available during the university’s regular business hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
You may report a crime anonymously either through Crime Stoppers at 615-893-7867 (STOP) or by calling University Police at 615-898-2424.

Questions regarding crime statistics should be directed to Major Jason Morton by calling 615-898-2424 and asking to speak with him.
To contact a specific officer, please call 615-898-2424 and your call will be forwarded accordingly. Please note that many of our officers are not always immediately accessible as they are working “on the road” or may even be off-duty. If you need to speak with a specific officer who is not immediately available, please leave a message for him/her.
University Police makes available to the public several different ways in which a complaint can be filed. Complaints, regardless of the nature, can be received in person, by mail, by email or by phone at any time by dialing 615-898-2424 and requesting to speak with the on duty patrol supervisor.
